Thanks for stopping by Eeelife! My name is Derek and I thought I’d post a little about myself and my interest in the Eee PC. I cut my teeth on an old Mitac 286 running DOS on an old amber and black CRT. Ever since then I have been involved in computers in some fashion or another. Like any person suffering from “gadget-i-tis” I’ve had my share of gadgets: Palms, an HP Jornada 680 and now a Motorola Q. I’ve also had several laptops/notebooks, but have always been looking for “the” subnotebook or ultraportable computer. I believe that I have found this in the Eee. I look forward to purchasing an Eee and finding out what it will do. I’ll try to share the things I learn with those who read this blog, and hopefully in some small way contribute to the growing database of information on this great little device.
